"harry, i'm going to let you in on a little secret. every day, once a day, give yourself a present. don't plan it. don't wait for it. just let it happen. it could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee." ~ agent dale cooper
who killed laura palmer? the question was really just the backdrop to the characters and the exquisite writing in what may well have been the best show to ever grace television sets, at least in my opinion.
agent dale cooper, and his simplistic ways and love of coffee and a good piece of pie, just about stole my heart. this show had everything i love: amazing music, intriguing dialogue, quirky characters, and a heavy dose of alternate realities and the unknown. plus, it was the start of a friendship that turned into love, in those early days of knowing each other, lying on the hardwood floors of my apartment watching together.

Loved this show when it was on. Thought it was much funnier than people give it credit for, too. Had more laughs than most current sitcoms.
ReplyDeleteit really was. agent cooper, especially, had some incredibly witty lines. i think because there was a dark element, and due to the fact that most of the "comedy" was dry humor and/or of the black comedy nature, the humor goes unmentioned.
ReplyDeletei really need to re-watch this series...
